I use a drop or two of super glue on a toothpick, then use the toothpick to swab the nut slot. Then put the nut in place and apply pressure for 5-10 seconds and restring. It obviously doesn’t take much super glue, and if you use too much it will get messy and spill out of the nut slot. One or two drops will be plenty.
